Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account details — your name, phone number, and (optionally) email address. Accounts are verified by a one-time password (OTP) sent to your phone.
• Location — the pincode and area you choose, used to show vendors near you.
• Vendor business details — for vendors: shop name, owner name, address, service categories, service pincodes, GST number (optional), and profile/portfolio photos.
• Activity — conversations, quotes, contact-exchange requests, reviews, and saved vendors created while using the platform.
• Device & technical data — push-notification tokens (if you enable notifications), and basic log/diagnostic data needed to run the service securely.

2. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account and verify your phone number.
• To show relevant vendors near your pincode and enable messaging, quotes, and reviews.
• To process vendor subscription payments and keep vendor visibility and plan status up to date.
• To send service notifications (new messages, quotes, contact shares, plan reminders).
• To prevent fraud and abuse and to comply with applicable law.

3. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. It is shared only as needed to provide the service:

• Between users and vendors — your name and messages are visible to the vendor (or user) you contact. Your phone number is shared only with your consent through our contact-exchange feature; hiring and payment for services happen offline, directly between you and the vendor.
• Service providers — we use trusted processors to run GoEventify: Cashfree Payments (subscription payments), Cloudinary (image hosting), an SMS provider (OTP delivery), and Expo (push notifications). They process data only on our instructions.
• Legal — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

4. Payments

Vendor subscription payments are processed by Cashfree Payments. We do not store your full card or banking details on our servers; payment data is handled by the payment provider under their own terms and security standards.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We may retain certain records longer where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. You can request deletion of your account as described below.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can turn off push notifications from your device settings. To make a request, contact us at support@goeventify.com.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and secure token storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

GoEventify is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
